Strengthening Military Cooperation, Kodiklatad Receives Visit from Australian Army Attaché

Bandung. The Commander of the Army Training and Education Command (Kodiklatad), Lieutenant General TNI Mohamad Hasan, was represented by Kodiklatad Training Director Brigadier General TNI Elkines Villando Dewangga K, M.AP., in receiving a visit from Australian Army Attaché Colonel Dave Gandy at the Ganesha Lounge Room of Kodiklatad Headquarters on Thursday (February 19, 2026).

The official visit, conducted in a warm and friendly atmosphere, was also attended by heads of departments under Kodiklatad Headquarters. It served as a strategic opportunity to strengthen military cooperation between Kodiklatad and the Australian Army. The proceedings began with a welcome ceremony, followed by a group photo session and an office call in the lounge room, and concluded with an exchange of souvenirs.

During the meeting, the Kodiklatad Training Director warmly welcomed the offer of training on drone usage for military operations, which is deemed essential for enhancing soldiers’ tactical capabilities, while remaining aligned with the policies of the Indonesian Army Headquarters. As an institution responsible for doctrine development and training delivery, Kodiklatad views this cooperation as having the potential to boost the professionalism of Indonesian Army (TNI AD) personnel.

Meanwhile, Colonel Dave Gandy reaffirmed the Australian Army’s commitment to continuously improving the quality of the Joint Combined Training Center (JOCCIT) exercises. He also offered training support in areas such as drone operations, field medicine, and shooting techniques. The 2026 JOCCIT exercise is planned to be held alternately in Indonesia and Australia, while the Super Garuda Shield exercise will introduce modules including Combat First Aid, Tactical First Aid, Army Combatives, and combat shooting.

Through this activity, it is hoped that stronger synergy will be established between Kodiklatad and the Australian Army to enhance the professionalism of TNI AD personnel in addressing the dynamic operational challenges of the future.
